Successful Upgrade of an LSR Production Line for Medical Silicone Components
A customer specializing in the production of medical-grade silicone components approached us with concerns regarding production consistency and manufacturing efficiency. The company supplies silicone seals, diaphragms, and valve components to medical equipment manufacturers, where product quality requirements are extremely strict.
The customer had been using an older production system that required frequent manual adjustments during operation. Although the equipment was capable of meeting production requirements, maintaining consistent product quality became increasingly difficult as order volumes grew.
Material waste, production downtime, and occasional dimensional variations were beginning to affect overall manufacturing performance.
After a detailed analysis of the customer's products, molds, and production process, our engineering team recommended a complete liquid silicone rubber injection molding solution. The proposed system included a high-precision dosing unit, advanced LSR injection molding machine, and intelligent temperature control system.
The primary objective was to improve material feeding accuracy and maintain stable process parameters throughout production. During the implementation phase, our technicians worked closely with the customer's production team to optimize machine settings and establish standardized operating procedures.
Following installation and commissioning, the results exceeded expectations. Material mixing became significantly more accurate, resulting in improved product consistency and reduced scrap rates. The stable injection process helped minimize dimensional variations and improved overall product quality.
The customer also reported a noticeable increase in production efficiency. Reduced downtime and faster cycle times allowed the factory to increase output without adding additional labor resources. Furthermore, the automated dosing system helped reduce material waste, contributing to lower operating costs.
Today, the customer continues to utilize the upgraded production line for large-volume manufacturing and has expanded its cooperation with several international medical device companies. The successful project demonstrates how advanced LSR technology can help manufacturers improve both product quality and production efficiency.
