Technology Overview
Our liquid silicone injection molding machines utilize cold runner technology to precisely blend low-temperature liquid silicone components (A and B) in the correct ratio. The mixture is pressurized by a screw and injected into high-temperature mold cavities where rapid chemical cross-linking occurs, achieving high-precision, high-efficiency automated production.
Working Principle
1. Raw Material Delivery and Mixing
Liquid silicone rubber components (A with catalyst and B with cross-linking agent) are stored separately and conveyed in fixed ratio to a static mixer for thorough blending, with optional colorant additives.
2. Injection Molding
Mixed silicone is propelled through a non-return valve into the cold runner system (maintained at low temperature) and rapidly injected into preheated mold cavities.
3. High-Temperature Vulcanization
In the heated mold, components undergo rapid chemical cross-linking (thermal curing) to form stable, elastic silicone products.
4. Pressure Holding and Cooling
Constant pressure maintains dimensional accuracy during curing, followed by cooling and product removal.
5. Automated Repeat Production
The entire process operates as a cyclical automated sequence for maximum efficiency with minimal manual intervention.
Key Differentiators
- Uses liquid raw materials (vs. conventional solid materials)
- Thermosetting molding through chemical cross-linking (vs. cooling solidification)
- Cold runner technology with mold heating (vs. barrel heating in conventional machines)
- Higher precision and efficiency for silicone products
